Sooo Unrealisticccc!!!!, April 12 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Air Force One (DVD)
What kind of plot is this? They land the plane and then take back off when they're not even on the runway. I'm sorry this is just a little too impossible for me. Six Russian terrorists just happen to get on Air Force One unnoticed, please. One of the president's, most trusted and highly scrutinized, secret service detail is a traitor.
There's nothing wrong with a fictional account, but at least make it one we can half-heartedly believe.
What were you thinking Harrison? This was a "B" movie plot at best!

typical action movie elevated by great supporting performances (3.5/5), Aug 18 2007
This review is from: Air Force One (DVD)
this is a typical action movie.obviously it has lots of action, but
there isn't much originality to the story.we've seen this movie
before.the only difference is that some details are different and the
title isn't the same.otherwise, there's no difference.OK,the actors are
different.Harrison Ford plays the reluctant action hero.he's OK,i
suppose, but he seems to play every character he portrays in the same
manner.they all sound and look alike to me.i liked Wendy Crewson as the
Ford character's wife.i thought she was credible in the part.i was also
impressed with Glenn Close in her role. but it's Gary Oldman who steals
the show,in my mind.when you add everything up,the movie is
entertaining, although less so than others of the genre. if it weren't
for Wendy Crewson,Glenn Close and especially Gary Oldman,i would give
this film a lower rating.as it is,i give Air Force One a 3.5/5.

Bare bonus DVD. Shallow Movie, May 16 2004
This review is from: Air Force One (DVD)
With TROY now playing in theaters, and it being a big budget/zero substance movie...It is not surprising because AIR FORCE ONE was exactly the same type movie. Harrison Ford is in a thankless role in both a poorly written/and now much more realistic type picture then anyone would care to admitt. There is nothing to like about this movie, it speaks of shotty production values and zero story. Something that Hollywood shamelessly does now and it just stinks.
