Adapter doesn't work, April 17 2007

I bought thadapter so that I could use it on long trips on airplanes. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. It appears that the connection sleeve is too long to allow the contacts to connect with the outlet on the plane. I tried it in several outlets (seats) that were providing power to other passenger's computers on a United flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco...it didn't work. Save your money.

I discovered, after buying this Mac power cord, that not all airplanes use this kind of cord. For instance, some Northwest planes to Japan use a regular US 3-prong 120v outlet. However, I recently found that US Airways has new Boeing 757's that fly between Phoenix and Philadelphia, and in each coach seat there is one of these plugs in the passenger armrest. So, now I'm happy I bought this cord, because it works fine on these aircraft.

It didn't come in time but they fully refunded it. Bravo for being willing to own an honest mistake and do what is necessary to make it right.
