Remember the alamo, July 6 2004
This review is from: Alamo (Audio CD)
A wonderful soundtrack. It combines the american music, mexican army songs, fandangos, mexican music and others. The highlights of this CD are: FLESH AND HONOR, the main theme of the movie; EL BEXARENO, a colorful piece of the mexican Texas; LA ZANDUNGA, a masterpice with an amazing arrangement; LISTEN TO THE MOCKINGBIRD SING, another masterpiece; BONHAM'S RIDE, a variation of the second track with a more colorful feeling; DEGUELLO DE CROCKETT, this track is more than a mix of mexican army song and an american song: it's the masterpice theme of the movie; THE BATTLE OF THE ALAMO (PART 1), a wonderful war theme; BLOOD OR TEXAS, the end theme.
With this score Burwell shows how the Alamo was. A masterpiece soundtrack. We wil remember the Alamo forever with this soundtrack.

No Glory, Jun 10 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Alamo (Audio CD)
The Carter Burwell soundtrack to "The Alamo" (2004) is not in very good taste. There is no glory in this music or anything much else for that matter. The defenders of the Alamo held out for 13 days. 13 Days of Glory! There is not even 13 seconds of music worth listening to on this soundtrack.

Fantastic score!, May 12 2004
This review is from: Alamo (Audio CD)
This score is one of the most wonderfully brilliant works to accompany a film in years. Rivals the likes of John Williams, to be sure. If you enjoyed the film, you'll love this cd.
