Really Cool CD!!,
By Nambi (Toronto (where quality music rides!)) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Albumen (Audio CD)
Just stumbled accross this CD, in Toronto here. I actually thought it was new, I was surprised to see it was out so long, but this cd is a must have! Great mood music, that can not be categorized. Great job on this CD, looking for other albums but having a hard time.

Kicks butt on every level,

Like Orbital at their best, the 11 tracks on this audacious release by the Egg are little soundtracks, lacking only accompanying short films. And on a personal note, whatever the boys put into "Time to Enjoy" makes me want to run, jump, fly; the song gets my blood going like few others. It's a criminal shame that "Albumen" is out of print - many, many more people need to hear it. The follow-up can't come soon enough.

Musically pleasing across many lines,

After having the CD for over six months, I still do not know how to classify it. It crosses many lines and does so in seamless transitions. If you like never ending album mixes (a' la Pink Floyd) with touches of acid jazz, techno and trance, this is the CD for you.I can't take it out of my CD changer! 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful

Shaft meets Air...Two great tastes that taste great together,

Seriously, Albumen defined a new style of electronica for me. It is a cool cross between funk and electronica. Good for a Roman 10 baby...
