I arrive at Alex Cuba a little late, seeing that this is not his first album. Traditionally, I arrive near the beginning of an artist, and 3 or 4 albums into their career, I have lost interest in them or they no longer inspire as originally experienced. This time, I am working backwards. This album has the quality and inspiration to force me to buy Alex's first Canadian solo release. If Alex's maturity carries backwards in time and contains the flaire that youth more than often delivers, I believe his first solo release should be a gem. This album has my wife and two young boys shak'n us awake during the cold early Manitoba mornings.
Alex has been a great discovery for me and my family; and Canada is blessed to have been a great discovery for Alex!
