5.0 out of 5 stars Alex-was-just-an-average-kid-until-her-1st-day-of-junior-hi, Feb 17 2002

This review is from: Alex, You're Glowing! (Paperback)
Alex was just a normal kid until her first day of junior high. One second Alex is walking home and then there's a crash. A truck from the paridise vally chemical plant over turns and drenches Alex in some weird chemical. And ever since then Alex has never been the same. The chemical gave Alex three powers: #1. Alex can move things just by thinking real hard about something. #2. Alex can morph into a liqued and stay like that but if she's in a more cold or in water she can stay a liqued longer. #3. Alex can zap things with her finger. Alex's best friend Ray thinks her powers are cool, And her sister Annie thinks Alex is a science project. Alex can't let anyone else no not even her parents because she knows the chemical plant wants to find her so they can use GC-161 to have it so one can stuff his/her face and not gain a pound. But you know what, Alex isn't so average anymore.

5.0 out of 5 stars A normal girl gains super powers in one day!, April 22 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Alex, You're Glowing! (Paperback)
Alex was a pretty average kid going to her first day of junior high school. Her day is really rough, and on the way home, she gets drenched in an illegal chemical called GC-161. Now she can zap things through her fingers, float objects to her, and morph into a silver puddle. All too cool? Actually it is. It is hard to control herself sometimes, and having PVC Plant looking for her as a guinea pig isn't helping either. Can Alex keep a normal teen life and control her new abilities? Will the plant catch her? Read this book. I thought it was really good-- even better than the episode it's based on! If you like Alex Mack, this would be a good book to read.
