The Tea Party's Eastern influences are on full display on this enchanting six-song enhanced CD, starting with the wild raga of "The Grand Bazaar," where traditional rock instrumentation gives way to percussion, woodwinds, hurdy-gurdy, and strings. A pair of acoustic tracks, "Inanna" and "Silence," sustains the mood, while the bluesy "Turn the Lamp Down" features a full-on percussion jam. The closing track, "Sister Awake Remix," is just that, its electronic edge acting as counterpoint to the acoustic material. Legendary British folkie Roy Harper, a longtime friend of Tea Party singer-guitarist Jeff Martin, shows up to add vocals on the band's cover of his song "Time." The CD-ROM component includes videos of "Shadows on the Mountainside" and "Sister Awake" as well as live, acoustic performances of "Inanna" and "Silence." Great "Acoustic" offering,

The tea Party really did well with this album. My favorite part is that on the opening 3 tracs they used ouds instead of guitars. The sister awake remix is unbelievable and just leaves you saying wow. I have never heard this band create a bad song and I even like to song with Roy Harper that's on the album. The extras on the Enhanced CD are the best of any Enhaced CD I have ever seen, but if you have above windows 95 you wont be able to access them unfortunately. Once again this is a great album by a band little known here in the states, I say we buy their albums and give them the respect they deserve.

I love the balance on this album. It showcases the Tea Party's fine musicianship and imaginative use of Eastern sounds woven together with rock syncopation. It's an eloquent CD and a must-have for Tea Party fans. Time, with Roy Harper and Sister Awake are simply showpieces. Wonderful.

This cd is amazing!!!great remixes and different takes on the the tea party's songs. A more acoustical journey. But it never lets you down.. This is a must you have to hear it to believe it... (yeah i know that sounded kind of cheesey, just get the cd, it's really good..)
