The production value of this video is fairly low. Scenes skip from indoors to outdoors and back. Parts have obviously been cut out. At just over 28 minutes, the tape feels very short, although Alice herself never seems rushed.
Miking was difficult in two of the outdoor scenes. In an exercise to stretch hamstrings, Alice's voice was very faint because the mike was too far away. Then in a mat exercise, the wind rushed over the surface of the microphone and produced an uncomfortable rushing sound. Also, the lighting could have been better for the outdoor scenes, and the indoor scenes seemed odd with a completely blank background against which Alice did her exercises.
The best parts of the video are when Alice gently encourages the audience. Her obvious caring and love show through the sometimes-cheesy quality of the tape. I did wish for more personal stories from Alice, since her experiences could be very helpful for some women.
The exercises are very low-key. Examples include walking your fingers up a wall and joining your hands behind your back. This is not "power" anything. The warmup was very short, and the meditation scene at the end seemed only a few seconds long.
However, if you know a woman who feels hesitant to move at all after surgery, this video might help her frame of mind and her flexibility, by encouraging little-by-little, daily improvements.
