I purchased this for the metal bracket knowing that for $11 the flash was probably a throwaway. Well considering other items on amazon sell just the bracket for $15+ the flash was essentially free. I admit the flash is cheap, not dollar store cheap, but lets call it Walmart cheap. Take 2 AA batteries, charges in 2 seconds or so, maybe 3. The brightness is a bit more then the camera on board flash. I use this as a rim light or a background light when I need just a bit more light in a specific spot and fire it with a radio trigger. Works great. I was playing with it the other night and the lens separated from the housing such that it's pushed in. The flash still works, but it goes to show the glue is not that strong. But for free, it's still exceeds my expectation. The bracket is aluminum with an anodized finish and a rubber pad to hold your camera securely. The hot shoe mount is of good quality and better then expected. Again, don't buy this for a professional level flash. The flash is good enough for a fill/rim light or even for table top product photos with a light tent (works great for that btw). It's manual control with no option to adjust power output, but you can use it as an optical slave.

This is a great flash to supplement the included flash with the OM-D, however it worked for less than a month before it failed.

Unfortunately this is a case where the price really does reflect the quality, although at this price it might be worth taking the risk.

Bad deal.

Should have known better. This unit provides no improvement. I suppose the price should have been the warning

the mounting stand did not fit had to use a dremel to grind off hump to allow the flash shoe to fit

If someone didn't know how to do this, this product would have been useless to them.

Otherwise the strobe worked as expected

It works, just what I wanted. FYI - no manual included. There is a 1234 switch - this is for the number of flashes to ignore (red eye). Enjoy!
