Book Description

March 1 2012
From the bestselling author of HERE, HOME, HOPE, comes a novel of suspense and choices, with a nod to the best of Susan Isaacs's tales of suburban murder. Once again, everything isn't what it seems in the suburb of Grandville. ALL THE DIFFERENCE is the story of three Grandville women whose lives become entangled by the choices they make and how, ultimately, one of them turns to murder to achieve her goals. Roommates Laura and Angie couldn't be more different. Laura is a local celebrity, the television anchor who is motivated to move out of small-time media markets and on to the big time, no matter the cost. Meanwhile, Angie, a luckless waitress, spends her time waiting for Mr. Right to save her from temporary jobs and a life spent making bad choices. On the other side of town, Ellen abandons her life as a successful fundraiser for that of an isolated housewife in the country estate she shares with her husband, whose affairs become increasingly hard to ignore. When the city's gossip columnist, Maddie, and restaurant reviewer, Dixon, become involved in the story, the unlikely duo stir up more than they intended. With her signature mix of compassion and wit, Kaira Rouda once again takes readers on an entertaining journey into the heart of women's lives in suburbia, this time with a dose of suspense.

4.0 out of 5 stars 3 Women + 1 Murder = Self Discovery May 11 2012
By fastreader TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback
The three amigoettes (female amigos) Ellen, Laura and Angie are cruising along with their lot in life fully blossomed.

This story covers a three week period that the group will never forget.
Somehow a murder serves as a catalyst to bring the three together even more then their daily routines created.

It's a study about how the choices we make on a daily basis can lead us down a path that we never really intended to follow.

Vivid well developed characters and a plot line with murder as an integral part make this a great read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Scheme Weavers at Work Nov. 26 2012
By Linda Ballou - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I love a good twistie- turner on film, but a suspense novel is not what I normally chose to read. Still, Kaira Rouda kept me going in All the Difference with her clever plotting and crisp writing style. What a wicked web she weaves with believable characters whose lives intersect in fascinating ways. A waitress on the prowl for the prince who will save her from a dull reality; a hard-driving news anchor cat-fighting her way to the top; and the house- bound wife of a womanizer are the lynch pins of the story set in a smallish town in Ohio. The under tow of a dark tale told simultaneously in italics gives many clues to who is behind the multiple murders that take place. I enjoyed Kaira's insight into a world I know little about. I think this story renders itself nicely to film adaptation. Many less deserving stories have made there way to the silver screen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spicy and Captivating Story March 27 2012
By Debbie Steg - Published on Amazon.com

Kaira Rouda has a gift for engaging storytelling. All The Difference was a wonderful weekend read, that had me turning the pages to find out what happens next. I was captivated by the intertwined story lines that seamlessly wove adultery, betrayal, deceit, jealousy, murder, and reinvention in suburbia. All The Difference had me guessing who the murderer actually was until the last page. Although looking back, subtle clues were cleverly laid throughout the story, the twist and turns kept me guessing until the last page.

Kaira Rouda brilliantly captures the drama and scandals of suburbia, where nothing is quite as it seems. Her cast of characters, were rich, diverse, and beautifully developed. I loved the running theme throughout the story of choices and consequences, and how the each choice can make All The Difference.

I find myself eagerly awaiting her next book. Yes, there's a tantalizing preview at the end of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars More Than Just 5 Stars-It's Awesome! April 10 2012
By Molly - Published on Amazon.com

Kaira Rouda's work is absolutely incredible! I was totally blown away by the amazing work she did in this novel. I've not had the pleasure of reading her other work, but I've heard nothing but the best about them, and was happy to get the chance to see what Ms. Rouda is all about. Let me tell you, she's awesome!

This is not your everyday, average read. It's filled with deviant women, murder, heartache and betrayal. The characters are intriguingly complex and life like. I felt a pull from each of them, as I turned page after page to find out what was happening next. Each twist took me further into the plot, each turn brought more of the mysterious scandals and suspense. Never knowing what was happening next kept me glued to my Kindle for two days!

Alternating between the now and the past, Rouda takes a the reader on a fabulous journey. One of the women aren't quite what they seem, but what's really going on in her mind is the mystery. As the story unfolds, the blood pumps harder, and by the end of the story, bam! Ms. Rouda hits it out of the ball park with an ending that will leave you dying for more.

If you are looking for that one amazing read, that one read to get completely lost in, then look no further than the incredible talent of Kaira Rouda. Five Book worthy and more, this book will turn you inside out as you follow the characters and become one of them. I absolutely can not wait until the next book releases! I'm a new and forever Kaira Rouda fan!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loads of Fun! March 20 2012
By Kathie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I really loved All the Difference! As I read it over one weekend, I was constantly drawn back to the characters, their mischief, toils, and troubles. Flashback scenes to the childhood and teen years of an unknown (at the time) character were compelling and vivid. The multiple points of view kept me guessing who was truly up to what and which characters were trustworthy and which were scoundrels. I enjoyed Rouda's eye for illustrating the setting in a way that enlivened each scene with elements that fit the specific personality traits of each character. Great read--perfect for that stay-cation, vacation, or any old upcoming weekend. Don't miss this one!
