The result was this 27-track monster, which remains one of the hardest hitting and most intense albums ever released. Unlike on Me Against The World, this album showcased a much more intense, hungrier-and angrier, Tupac. The beats on this album have that classic Death Row sound, and pack a much harder punch than any of his previous albums. The album was the first rap double cd ever, reached #1 on the charts, had 7 singles and would go on to become one of the highest selling and most critically acclaimed rap albums of all time. Before this album, Pac was a rap star. After it, he was an ICON.
"All Eyez on Me" is one of the most complete rap albums ever made, and Pac gives you so many different kinds of songs to groove to, you cant really go wrong with it, regardless of what type of mood you're in. This album is a TITAN, and an album that really packs a punch everytime you bang it. If you want that classic hardcore Death Row sound, songs like "Ambitionz az A Ridah", "No More Pain", "Cant C Me", or "When We Ride" will get the job done. Lots of great club songs, like "All About U", "Thug Passion", "How Do U Want It", or "Cali Love" as well. For those who want deeper/more intellectual Pac, not as much of that on this album, but he still gives you a few gems: "Life Goes On", "I Aint Mad At Cha", "Only God Can Judge Me" and the anti-prostitution anthem, "Wonder Why They Call U Bitch"......its not Pac's best album lyrically, but the variety, great production, and wonderful replay value more than make up for it.
This is easily one of the most groundbreaking rap albums ever, setting countless trends. So many of todays rappers have used this album as a blueprint and/or standard for making their own albums, but no rap album coming out nowadays can even come close to this. The scary thing is, he made this classic in only two weeks......
All in all, this is a must have.....of all of Pac's albums, this is near the top, and I would consider only "Makaveli: The 7 Day Theory" to be superior, and "Me Against The World" being about equal. All Eyez on Me is essential for any hip hop collection.
rap is junk threw and threw with a few exceptions, this pervert aint on of them
