If you've heard Blink 182, the Offspring, or Green Day, you've heard Sum 41, with or without All Killer No Filler. The Canadian quartet's California punk formula is a well-worn one that seems to be working--all the way from the store to the Warped Tour. Set poppy, three-chord rock to hyperactive speeds, write songs about why you don't give a shit, and play up your juvenile-delinquent side for all it's worth (check out the "Going, Going, Gonorrhea" video with the band "doing all the dangerous and immature stuff you shouldn't try from the safety of your own home"). Of course, this has all been done before and will continue to be rehashed again as long as a silly, snotty attitude brings in the record company gold. While these punks are hardly walking down the block less traveled, they still packed All Killer full of hooks that should snag modern rock radio listeners. Le groupe ontarien Sum 41 a vu sa carrière décoller grâce au succès éclatant de sa chanson "Fat Lip". All Killer No Filler ne donne pas vraiment dans la dentelle. Ces gars âgés de 20 ans en moyenne parlent de filles, de fesses et de parties. Les plus jeunes apprécieront sans doute cette collection de chansons irrévérencieuses, tandis que les plus vieux s’amuseront en entendant “Pain for Pleasure”, un hommage bidonnant aux hair bands des années 80.
Malgré quelques répétitions, Sum 41 montre qu’il est capable d’écrire des bombes aux refrains très accrocheurs, ce qui n’est déjà pas mal pour un groupe aussi jeune. Laissons à ses membres le temps de vieillir un peu pour découvrir leurs vrais talents de musiciens. Pour l’instant, contentons-nous de ce punk rock énergique et entraînant, qui se compare sans honte à des groupes comme Blink 182. À ranger dans la section "plaisirs coupables". --Frédéric Boudreault

This album shows a lot of talent, mized with many good tunes. However, I was slightly dissapointed with the length of some of the songs. They seemed too short, for the amount of money payed. Overall though, it was still worth purchasing.

( i may make some wording makstakes don't mind them)this is there best cd after this it is dose this look infected then cuck, half hour of power is ok but this one is better the best song is fat lip, motivation or in too deep. the best mini song (like 45 second songs) they have all together is never wake up or pain for pleasure.

i like sum 41, but this CD gets old after a while. it may have some good stuff like fat lip, in too deep, and nothing on my back, but "does this look infected" is much better.
