An earful of Spinna,
By "dusty-beats-insomniac" (your Mom's house) - See all my reviews
This review is from: All Mixed Up (Audio CD)
DJ Spinna shows why he is one of the most prolific producers on the scene today by way of "All Mixed Up", his extensive catalog of remixes. There aren't many Hip Hoppers included on this project apart from notables De La Soul and Mos Def. The rest are DJ Spinna's remixes of club hits and R&B cuts which include the likes of Les Nubians and the sublimely soulful Terranova. Spinna provides a diverse body of work (which is plenty) and keeps the beats heavy and energetic. There are two CD's included here. The first is DJ Spinna's own mix, as he seamlessly meshes each cut into the other without compromising the continuity of songs. The second is unmixed with fewer of the tracks listed. Regardless, a very good project top to bottom.

Best Spinna Production,
By Justin T "Kahma" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: All Mixed Up (Audio CD)
Well, fisrt off i would like to state that Dj Spinna is my favorite musical artist. he makes all types of music, hip hop to elecrtonic funk to house. The talent this man has is unmatchable. I am not afraid to bash anyone i like or to give a bad news review to my friends, so when i say this is the best he has done, i mean it. the production on this album is absolutley amazing, simply out of this world. the drones (constant sound effect) he uses in his his beats are one of a kind, the keyboard effects and samples are like dreams in motion, very fluid. It would be impossible for me to review my favorites on this album because it would take way to long, if you like electronic music, jazz, hip hop, scratching, lounge music or are just experimenting, please fork the cash over and purchase this album. Do youself a favor and listen to the samples they have above. It comes with a bonus disc featuring the original songs, unmixed.
