5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent New Romance Author Nov. 16 2008
By Katie Miller - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a great book by a new author on the "romance" circuit. The characters were very appealing to me. The female is a smart, funny, hip woman of strength, with a touch of sarcasm in her. Someone I felt I could identify with - not like the ditz's in a lot of other romance books. The story line is modern and realistic - even the intimate scenes were realistic, as things, of course, don't always go as `smooth' as one plans, just as these characters found out. I'm hoping this author produces more in the near future. I'm a big fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars "OH, MY" .........Ice melting Hot Hockey Player in this book will melt your heart. Aug. 5 2010

Wow,
This story really had it all. God I'm such a sucker for "been in love since their childhood" romances that I read the info sheet and loaded it up on my kindle.

Sukie has had breast cancer. She quit a big, well paying job and with the help of her Brother Sean O'Leary(gotta love the names!) she opened up a yarn/knitting shop. Sean has been best buddies with Eamon Houlihan, big time Hockey Pro, since they were kids. Sukie was always the little sister tag -a- long.
No one knew she fantasized about Eamon since oh, like forever and same goes for Eamon with his hidden feelings for Sukie.
What started out as a no strings attached one night stand offer from Sukie to Eamon-then it's let's go back to just being friends--turns into the expected results that generally follows the "friends with benefits" incident.

No strange circumstances or elaborate plot lines, just good 'ol fashioned tender heartfelt romance. (with nice-not trashy- sex)
I loved Eamon from "Hello" and Sean's love for his sister is well portrayed. Sukie is written like someone you want to hug and make your best friend forever. This is a very sweet story with a "kleenex required" label.
Enjoy---I Did.
Thanks Kelsey! I'll be looking up more of your stuff.

1.0 out of 5 stars I feel cheated Jan. 26 2011

All of You is about a woman who owns a knitting shop who has a two night stand with her brother's best friend, who happens to be a famous hockey player. They realize they love each other, the end...

First of all, no where in any review or description of this "book" did I see any indication that this was a short story. It is. Very short in fact. If I would have known this I would have never purchased it. By the synopsis, I was interested in the young breast cancer survivor falling in love with the famous hockey player. Not to mention the raving reviews... Being a young breast cancer survivor myself I was looking forward to an uplifting story of strength, love, and happiness. Due to the short length and apparent lack of writing skill by the author this story offers none of these things.

I completely disagree with all the 5 star reviews given on this "book". There was absolutely no character development and no plot other than Suki wants to jump her brother's best friend. Being a woman who experienced the things that Suki was briefly described as going through, I was actually offended by the simplification that was portrayed by a 29 year old woman who supposedly had breast cancer and was trying to re-establish herself in the world.

There is no way to successfully pull off a complex story line such as recovering both physically and emotionally from breast cancer treatments, falling in love with your brother's (hockey super star) best friend, and living happily ever after in less than 100 pages. I understand All of You was fiction but in my opinion it was a pathetic, insulting, fictional portrayal of a subject that deserves a much better representation.

5.0 out of 5 stars All Of You Dec 30 2010

"All Of You" is a wonderful read. As a woman I believe this book speaks for many females. I too had a fantasy love for a friend of my brothers. This really spoke to me and I highly recommend this quick read. I do wish that it was a little longer drawn out. As for a new author she writes well and I enjoyed the humor very much. I look forward to reading more of her work. PS I love any romance that has to do with HOCKEY. I hope she writes more to do with the sport and hot romance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Short story-good quick read Sept. 20 2011

If you're looking for a quick read this book is for you.

The author doesn't use a lot of description, which isn't a bad thing. I've read countless books where the author has used three pages to depict one room in a house. This one doesn't go on and on. The story simply unfolds.

For .99 I felt the book was worth it. New author after all, and I give a thumbs up for the story.

Buy the book if you want a quick distraction from the `real' world. Don't buy it if you're wanting a 600 page novel written by someone famous. I believe Kelsey Maxwell has a developing talent and will buy more of her work over time.
