This book is written in a very accessable style by a couple who sailed all over the Atlantic with their two young children in a 30-foot sailboat outfitted in their backyard. It should be of interest to a great variety of readers, especially those who contemplate cruising or travelling for a great distance with young children. There is a great deal of practical information about visiting different islands and anchorages, but of course will be out of date by now (nor is it meant to replace more detailed guides and charts). This is a great encouragement for amateur saliors who might imagine that a long trip requires either independent wealth, or a 50-footer. A wonderful read!
