This is definitely one of their best, Oct 19 2006

What happens when you take French mediaeval music and add an electric guitar or two and let Gabriel Yacoub sing? Remember early Steeleye Span before they became refined? Maybe Five Hand Reel? Malicorne is wonderfully powerful, haunting, and unique. I bought every album of theirs I could find, and this - their second or third - is definitely one of their best
Malicorne's early albums are more traditional, their later music more rock...and thus less interesting (to me, at least). Google on Malicorne to learn about the group; go to Amazon (France) to hear samples from their albums.
The other real winner in the Malicorne lot is one simply entitled "Malicorne" that has a yellowish cover with what looks like a house hidden by vines and clouds. I don't see it here, but it's available from Amazon (France).
