Aloe Vera is truly amazing!, July 16 2008
By MRM90 - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Aloe Vera the New Millennium: The Future of Wellness in the 21st Century (Paperback)
I'll begin with a criticism. The author's call the book "Aloe Vera: The New Millenium", and it should be called, "Stabilized Aloe Vera: The New Millenium", because that is the aloe vera that is discussed throughout the entire book, and in particular, a stabilized aloe vera developed by the author's company. The book is in some ways a sales pitch for Coats Aloe International products. I was disappointed to find very little information about using fresh aloe straight from the plant, and no information at all on growing it. In many of the applications mentioned in the book I'm sure you could use gel fresh from the plant, though. There is a great article on the naturalnews.com website titled, "The aloe vera miracle: A natural medicine for cancer, cholesterol, diabetes, inflammation, IBS, and other health conditions", by Mike Adams. He provides a lot of information on some of the ways you can use aloe gel fresh from the plant, including how to fillet the leaf.
On the other hand, there is a lot of information on the many uses of aloe vera in this book. The authors cite many studies that have been done, including some of their own, and provide references in the back of the book. You can click 'Look Inside' at the top of this page and take a look at them, they're just above the Index. Bill Coats began experimenting with aloe vera in the early 1960's and he has written several books on the subject, so I would imagine that he is one of the most knowledgeable people in the world on the uses of aloe vera. A Mexican farmer's bull had been bitten by a huge rattlesnake, and without wasting a minute he cut off an aloe vera leaf, sliced it open and made a poultice out of it, wrapping it on to the snake bite with a cloth. By the next day the wound had healed. That was one of the few stories that didn't involve stabilized aloe vera.
There is information on using aloe vera for humans, dogs, cats, cattle, and horses. Aloe has an amazing ability to assist our bodies in healing all types of skin conditions, infections, autoimmune diseases, cancers and even AIDS. It just may be the most valuable plant on the planet. Think of how many people are growing it right now and have no idea what it can do. They think it's only good for sunburns, cuts or their complexion. Of course, this didn't happen accidentally. The pharmaceutical companies sure don't want you to know about this, and the media sure isn't going to tell you either. We are lied to everyday in the media about many issues. Seek alternative news outlets, radio programs, books, magazines and websites. That's where the truth is found.
