A MUST HAVE........,
By shannon mckeough (canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Along the Healing Path: Recovering from Interstitial Cystitis (Paperback)
This book is a must have for anyone suffering from IC. It can stand alone or as a companion to Catherine's other 2 books. It has alot of great information for IC pateints (and anyone really) looking for the road back to health. I really think anyone suffering from IC and wanting to try alternative or natural approaches to healing needs to read this book. It gives good and clear explanations why natural approaches may not have worked in the past or my have caused you to feel worse and how to 'feel'your way thru the healing process and choose the best treatments appropriate for 'you' and 'your' IC. I'll keep this book close at hand for th rest of my life..not only to help with my IC but as a reference for any future health problems.

Excellent IC Recovery Guide,
By Janet B. - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Along the Healing Path: Recovering from Interstitial Cystitis (Paperback)
This book, as well as Catherine Simone's first book, is a must-have for anyone who is serious about taking charge of their own health and recovering from IC. A year ago, I read Cath's first book and began trying the suggestions she made. A year later, I am MUCH improved. I read her second book recently and found more useful information that I have already begun to put into practice. The suggestions she makes are self-help based and easy to do at home. She offers a very compelling theory for what causes IC and a practical approach to overcome it, always with the patient's comfort and safety in mind. She also encourages individual choice and research, rather than dictating some rigid program to follow. Her compassion and understanding of fellow IC sufferers really comes through. Finding Catherine's first book changed my life last year and her new book is prompting further changes. There's lots of hope and inspiration here!

Another great self help book for IC patients worldwide,
By BARBRA WILLIS "BARBRA WILLIS" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Along the Healing Path: Recovering from Interstitial Cystitis (Paperback)
Kuddos to Cathy Simone for again, taking her time to write another great book for IC patients worldwide. This book spells out in great detail helping hints for all of us to try at home, in moderation and with careful consideration of what we try. This book lists in detail things we may take, things we may try to help our bodies heal from this devastating disease that plagues so many of us around the world. She even puts in reflexology charts for us to follow easily, among many other helpful things that will guide the IC patient to examine her or his own bodies to help them determine what they need to do to get better or well from this painful disease. Thank you Cathy for all of your efforts to help us and I must tell you that I really like this book as well, if not better than "To Wake In Tears"...and I realy thought that book could not be beaten....Thanks for all of your help and your dedication to the IC patient, most of whom you have never seen before...For those of you reading Cathy Simone for the first time, I must tell you that I traveled to her home state just to see for myself if she really was living without the pain and devastation of IC and she was...she really was. She looked great and was back to a normal life again...She gives me hope and I can only pray that she gives each and every one of you who read this book the same...Remember, no one's body will be the same, so try very hard to read the book and look into your own body to determine what parts of the book apply to you.......Barb Willis

Glimmer of Hope,
By M. Brock - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Along the Healing Path: Recovering from Interstitial Cystitis (Paperback)
The best thing about this book is that it is written by an IC patient, or should I say, a former IC patient. Catherine Simone is NOT another doctor or intern taking stabs in the dark at this thing called IC...she's been there; she's lived it. The great news is that she has bounced back from it. This book is truly a gift to anyone dealing with IC. The author not only tells her personal story, but she lists several suggestions for healing the bladder (and the rest of the body!) through natural means. Thank you, Catherine, for writing this book. It is a glimmer of hope in an otherwise dark cave. I would've rated this as a million stars!
