Soon after her arrival, her ex-husband Cody Graf goes berserk with an axe, and is later found dead on a deserted back road. Emma covers the story for the local paper, but she and her friend Milo, the local sheriff, don’t think they’re getting the whole story. Why does everyone in town seem to hate Dani? Did Cody Graff really overdose, or was he murdered? Emma is determined to find out!
Finally there’s The Alpine Christmas. Winter in Alpine is picturesque, with deep snow, Christmas trees, frozen lakes, and carolers. But the beauty is tarnished when a woman’s severed leg is found in the lake, and another woman’s dead body turns up in the forest. Emma Lord is joined on the case by her brother Ben, an irreverent priest visiting from Arizona. Can they find the killer before more women wind up dead?

About the Author
Mary Daheim was born and raised in Seattle, and has been writing since age eight. She is one of the most prolific novelists, writing today. She has written over 40 books in many series, spanning several genres. The Alpine Recluse is the latest novel in the Alpine Mysteries series.

The Alpine Murder Mysteries start here in the first three books included in this Omnibus. The characters come to life and have you rooting for them through all the good and bad that comes with this and then all the following books. I so recommend The Alpine Series for some light reading and fun times through murder and mayhem.Start with this book and continue through the line of alphabetical murders that to date goes to The Alpine Traitor...

The book arrived on time and was in excellent condition. No complaints. Yes, I am the author, but was running out of my own copies because of so many donation requests from libraries and other organizations, including charity auctions/ It's comforting to know that I can restock via Amazon's sellers.

I don't live in Washington, but have in earlier years and have visited often ... and miss it a lot. So the setting of the small town of Alpine is a great start to my enjoyment of the great cast of characters (and most of them deserve that appelation!) and good stories . . . I will definitely want to read more of Ms. Daheim's work.
