Altus Atheltic 1219009 75 Cm Earth ball with DVD

I bought this ball since I read, recently, a study that people who sit on their butts 6+ hours/ day have a shortened life span. I thought, I sit on my butt for at least 8 at work! Not to mention when I get home and finish up my home-work. So I purchased this ball. I'm up to sitting on it about 6 hours of my workday. I bounce around, move around and it also has made me concentrate more - I get lots done when I'm sitting on it! I think my capacity to concentrate on my environment is lessened when I'm focusing on not falling off of the ball! HAHA! Anyway, this ball is a little less thick than others that I've seen so it's probably not the best one on the market. But it works. Oh, also, the pump they send with it is useless. I used my kid's bicycle tire pump and that seems to work perfectly when it needs some added air.

First, the colors of this ball are very pretty--blue and green are my favorites, so it was prefect for me.

The sand in it makes it good for holding it in one place so that it doesn't roll all around. I use it in my living room so that I have better posture when sitting and watching TV. I leave it out all the time and hop on when I need to straighten up.

The foot pump is fine, but I found it faster and easier to use my hands to pump it up. Plus, it was a good workout for my arms. It warns you not to over inflate it, but make sure to inflate it enough...I didn't and promptly rolled right off the back of it when trying to sit--I landed flat on my back with my legs draped over the ball. It was actually pretty funny and I laughed myself silly.

I have not checked out the DVD, but didn't get the ball for the DVD.

Great ball. I use it everyday and put my full body weight on it and have had no problems with it. I'm actually thinking about getting another to use at work to force myself to sit up straighter all day.

I purchased this ball (the 65cm one) last week and got it on time. I inflated it pretty much right away (after reading the instructions). The instructions say to inflate the ball until the measuring tape (included with the ball) is tight. Never happened.

I got out my own measuring tape and measured both the tape and the ball itself. The tape seemed consistent with the material included (circumference for the 65 cm ball should be about 80.5" and that's about what I measured). The ball, however, seemed to match up with the circumference indicated for the 55cm ball (a little over 68"). After getting a second pair of eyes to confirm, I decided the package must have been mis-marked or the wrong ball included.

I submitted for a return and Amazon was more than happy to help. I was VERY happy with their quick response, and received a replacement the next day (a Saturday).

Today (Monday) I finally got around to inflating my new ball. Same issue! The ball doesn't inflate to the size of the tape. I don't know if the information included is incorrect, if they had a batch of balls that got put in the wrong boxes, or what, but something isn't right here.

Since I can only return for a replacement (and that didn't work so well), I'll be keeping this one. The quality of the ball itself seems good (thus 2 stars instead of 1), and I can use it for some things, but it isn't big enough to use when sitting at my desk (which was my purpose for buying). Pretty disappointing, but I'm not going to waste any more of my time.
