Best 25 minutes of the whole day!,

This is definitely one of the most effective stretching videos I've ever used. It moves very quickly, but doesn't seem rushed. With 4 kids, I rarely get more than 25 minutes to myself, so I need something that provides a good head-to-toe stretch in a minimum amount of time. The scenery is fantastic--especially the bright mountaintop sunrise for the a.m. program. Madeline Lewis is pleasant and very "down to earth" (no new age "yoga speak"). My only criticism (and not enough to give it less than 5 stars): There are one or two postures in each program that are uncomfortable if you have low back pain. I've practiced yoga long enough to know how to modify them, but instructions either aren't given or they aren't given until you're already in the posture. This is a great program for all levels--easy enough for most beginners, but still worthwhile for those who are already pretty active.

I love this DVD. I wish I had time to do it morning and night every day (with kids this is challenging). I bought it based on the good reveiws at amazon and I am sure happy that I did.The am stretch leaves you refreshed and ready to face your day and the pm stretch relaxes you before bed. If I exercise in the evening I make sure I do this stretch afterwards to wind down. It also includes a power stretch or workout stretch as a bonus. The scenery is beautiful and was filmed on location in Banff Alberta which I was pleasantly surprised to see. For those of you who do not realize who Madeleine Lewis is she is a fitness instructor who instructs other instructors ex. Kathy Smith. If you look in the credits of some of your videos you are likely to see her name as workout designer or producer. Some people have complained that they find her "unexciting" but how exciting can a stretch workout get I ask you? All I care about is how I feel afterwards. I find her relaxing. By the end of the pm stretch I am yawning I am so relaxed. A must have for any well rounded fitness collection!

Full-body AM & PM stretching routines to improve flexibility, balance and posture.,

This DVD contains two 30-minute stretching routines (the AM and PM stretch) as well as a bonus, 20-minute Power stretch routine. The routines combine static, dynamic and PNF stretches to effectively improve flexibility, balance, posture and circulation. The routines energize you and make you feel physically and mentally healthier. I would highly recommend this DVD.However, I should note that the Power stretch routine is at a faster pace - and one exercise in particular may need to be modified if your neck muscles are somewhat inflexible. The exercise involves sitting in a cross-legged position and performing a spinal twist to the back and lifting your arm all the way up (this stretches the neck muscles). I actually injured my neck muscles by doing this exercise. However, if you modify the exercise(s) according to your own flexibility, you should be totally fine.
