Had to watch this movie for a music appreciation college class. Before watching it I was not looking forward to it and thought a 1984 movie about a composer could not be that great. Wow was I wrong. The movie has a great story line, (lots of liberty taken by writers and director here - not an actual true historical rendering of Mozart's end of life), and the music is just awesome!
The work of Mozart runs throughout the story and is interjected into scenes just beautifully. Not to give too much away - I actually
had a few tears in a couple of places. Unfortunately my copy of the dvd had a defect which allowed me to watch the movie and hear the music score but I could not hear the actors speaking and had to watch it with subtitles. I am getting this copy exchanged and plan to watch it again. I would definitely recommend this movie.
