Aug. 4 2010 Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Collection (Book 4)
Trump Tower has nothing on Spider-Man! Spinning out of the pages of New Avengers, you won't believe what the fickle hand of fate has in store for Peter Parker, Mary Jane, and Aunt May! But even as Peter and his family adjust to their great new pad and cool new clique, the hordes of Hydra make a final push to take over the United States! Will the Web-Head and the New Avengers stop the revitalized Hydra from bringing America to its knees? And if so, at what cost? And in THE OTHER, Spidey faces his biggest threat yet - a foe so insidious he can't hope to handle it alone. With friends like Reed Richards, Stephen Strange, and Hank Pym, he won't have to. But can even the world's greatest minds change the course of fate? And if they could, would they dare? Having finally accepted the truth, Peter Parker decides to put the red and blue tights in the closet and spend some quality time with Aunt May and MJ. But Morlun's got other plans - and this time, there's no Ezekiel to help the Web-Slinger. If he's going to have any hope to thwart Morlun's obscene mission, he's got two choices: Evolve or die...! Collects Amazing Spider-Man #519-528, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1-4, Marvel Knights Spider-Man #19-22, the extras from Best of Spider-Man Volume 5 HC, and Spider-Man: The Other Sketchbook.

5.0 out of 5 stars JMS rules Jan. 15 2013

I haven't read this one yet but I like his other stuff and the previous volumes are shaping up to be really enjoyable (screw the haters, who gives a crap if Spidey got his powers from a mystical spider got thing instead of that silliness about a radioactive arachnid) so I expect I will enjoy most of it as well, until the crappy "One More Day" story that Quesada forced him to write. Screw that guy too.
3.0 out of 5 stars Hmmm... Aug. 11 2013

So, this is the second Spider-man collection that I picked up by JMS and it really wasn't what I thought it would be. This collection contains The Other story line as well as a fun story involving Spider-man and the New Avengers. The biggest disappointment to me was The Other story. I had much higher expectations for it, especially after reading the last collection by JMS. The story felt choppy and not very linear at times and the artwork varied heavily since the story line ran through ASM, Marvel Knights Spider-man, and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man. I would have preferred that Mike Deodato illustrate the story in its entirety. Most of the visible emotion of the characters is not fleshed out throughout each book, especially in Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man. Despite the artwork and the cracks in the storytelling between books, the story did have its high points. The best part of The Other story is ASM issue #526 where Spider-man fights Morlun. This is probably one of Spider-man's most gruesome fights. Anyways, this book is worth the buy mainly because it is a status changing event in Spider-man's history, and if you like to have complete collections, then you must purchase this. Also, a lot of people liked the Other story, but one of the main reasons that I didn't like the story was because I was trying to compare it to The Death of Spider-man in Ultimate Spider-man. So, take my comments about the disappointment of The Other story line with a grain of salt. This book is still worth the buy!

If you like reading Spiderman, this is good issue from the reboot franchise to purchase from. It encompasses a series of volumes in it. Just make sure the seller ships your comic and it arrives in one piece with no forms of damage of any kind!

Great book! state of the art dialogs, artwork, and storytelling.
I would suggest that you ask for multiple packages if you purchase more than just this book, I orderd 4 and they suffered some damages, but nothing major.
Good job for Amazon, and GREAT job for Marvel!
