I bought this at full price when I bought my basic Kindle last year. After using it for a couple of weeks, I decided that I really wanted a case that I could keep the Kindle in while I was reading it, so I bought a folder-style case. After using *that* for a few weeks, I realized that I really prefer to hold the Kindle without a case at all while I'm reading. (I also realized that throwing a Kindle in a folder-style case into your backpack just begs for buttons to be pressed inadvertently -- I can't count the number of times I found the Kindle drained because something had turned it on in my backpack.) Turns out this blue sleeve is exactly what I was looking for all along.
It's not going protect your Kindle like an OtterBox or something like that would, but I'm pretty accident-prone and my Kindle has survived my usual clumsiness simply because of this case. I'm not sure why people were expecting a case that would open up fully -- a "sleeve", after all, is for sliding something into when you're not using it, and the picture clearly shows it being used in exactly that way. Personally, I'd recommend it (especially at the sale price) if you're looking for some protection while you're carrying your Kindle around. Wish all five colours were available here, but you can't have everything.
