Wake up Amazon. There is a hugh market for this product in Canada and you're just pushing people to your competition because of poor pricing. Fix it!!

Really disappointed. Wanted to buy two Kindle 3G readers for a trip we are taking next month only to discover that they are $100 more on the Canadian site and I cannot order from the US Amazon site. This is bearing in mind the strong Canadian dollar. Suggest folks do a cost comparison with the iPad before purchasing. For the features I wanted the 3G would have been perfect but $299CAD instead of $139US is a substantial difference. The Kindle 3G WiFi is $189 US and $399 CAD!! As a device, the Kindle is everything that is advertised:1) Able to keep a long battery life. 2) Able to read PDFs 3) Able to read MOBI(old school Palm format) 4) and if to be believed, hopefully soon, Epub format. 5) Text to Speech(TTS) assuming that DRM allows TTS. I'm guessing it is basically only available for the public domain books.. 6) Ability to read in the sun... which is phenomenal for those nice summer days... However... the caveat... as a Canadian... The price is ridiculous especially when they're currently offering US customers the opportunity to buy a new-gen 6" Kindle for $114!! Note that for $114, you will have to put up with some ads on the screen saver but there are not ads while reading... At any rate, I hope that Amazon will start to consider a serious expansion into the market north of the American border, but until then... a hike down south for this device is not too bad... :)
