Okay, I admit, I purchased this book and didnt expect much. It was quite boring in the first 30 pages (Like every other book.) But I was soon captivated by Freda Warrington's world! The character development is VERY well done, and the story is original with some minor but powerful twists. I can't wait to move on to "The Sapphire Throne". Truly deserves the five stars that I've given!

A Worthy Wielder of the Mighty Pen Jan. 23 2002
By Aislinn N. Connolly - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
A no-nonsense fantasy writer who fills her novels with rampant love scenes, lots of skulduggery and high adventure, rampant love scenes, believable heroines and heroes, rampant love scenes, excitingly exotic otherworlds and more rampant love scenes than you can shake a stick at.
I nearly went blind in my haste to finish this trilogy - this being the first book - and when I got to it's cataclysmic ending was rendered completely useless in shock at its conclusion. If I only had a fraction of her imaginative scope, I'd be happy.
Oh, did I mention the rampant love scenes?

A NO JOKE READ March 7 2012
By Faye J. Louis - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I love this book. It's a timeless piece one that will never reach its end in whatever time period. It's a novelty. The fact that thhis author is not well known is a world class crime. I talked to her once, because I was desperate for one of her books, which are out of print, and she told me she is fighting to get them in ebook format. That was a long time ago, but praises are due where it is deserved. She is better than J.K Rowling and Stephanie Meyers put in one... are they even up to par?

This has been the 4 th time I have read a book written by her and I'm ready to get all her books. They are hard to come by so I'll start searching.
