I purchased this doll for Christmas for my eight year old daughter. She was absolutely thrilled with it, and even takes it to bed with her. The clothes and shoes are so detailed and perfect. It is expensive for a small doll, but much better than Barbie, and very good quality.

Excellent mini edition of the American Girl Dolls Nov. 27 2007
By Modern Blue Argonaut - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Misc. Supplies Verified Purchase
Many people think American Girl is a very expensive hobby, but in reality there is a wonderful way for all girls to enjoy collecting American Girls and their stories without breaking the bank! The mini dolls are just perfect for a dresser top or to carry along in a car, or for playing with Barbie. They run $14-$20 depending upon where you purchase them. You can add in the full size chapter book for only $6.95 and this set would make an excellent gift for any elementary school age girl.
Very Funny, Elizabeth (American Girls Collection) The other mini dolls also have full size books available on Amazon and some even have boxed sets! I hope you have enjoyed the video review and it helps provide additional information you needed.

Elizabeth is cute! Nov. 8 2005
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Misc. Supplies
This doll is really cute. She has a fancy pink gown on, and underneath she wears a sort of shift which you can use as a nightie. Lizzie also has creamcoloured socks that go up to her knee and pretty pink shoes. She is quite durabe except don't bend her fingers, they will break. Her minibook is abridged but otherwise it is a perfect copy.

All in all, I give Elizabeth 10 stars (though I can't really)! She is a great doll!

Adorable AND affordable Sept. 2 2010
By Rachel Gray - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Misc. Supplies
This mini doll of Elizabeth, colonial American Girl Felicity's best friend, is a wonderful alternative to the costly larger version. It looks just like the original, with the same facial features and proportions. Like the 18 inch doll, the neck, shoulders, and hip sockets are articulated, although the eyes don't blink. Also like the regular doll, this one comes with Elizabeth's pink dress and a mini (and very abridged) version of her book, "Very Funny, Elizabeth."

Visually, this mini doll looks just as good as the 18 inch doll. The hair is lovely, with a braid, ribbon, soft curls at the ends, and side curls surrounding her face. Her outfit is complete and functional, and just as pretty as the larger size. It almost makes me wish they made other outfits for the mini dolls--although part of the economic benefit of this size doll is actually that you can't buy ANY other outfits and accessories, and therefore don't need to buy EVERY outfit and EVERY accessory.

I would strongly recommend this mini doll to anyone who wants an Elizabeth doll but doesn't want to or can't spend almost $100 on it.

It's A Mini Doll - Expect It To Be... Mini? March 1 2006

The American Girl Mini Dolls are Adorable -

I agree with the other reviewers on one point, they are small, but not too small to play with and certainly not a rip-off... I suggest if you are going to buy, or if your children are going to buy one, you remind them that they are tiny at only 6 1/2-inches tall.

Great little doll to start a collection! Dec 26 2006
By S. Taylor - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Misc. Supplies
My daughter receieved this doll for Christmas and it is very cute. The doll is made well and the clothes come off. If you have more than 1 mini doll like this they can swap clothes. My only small little complaint is the book. Its a cute hardback book, but the words are so small you can barely read it. For my 6 & 8 year olds though, they just want to play with the dolls. This would be a great way to start an American Girl doll collection.
