saying who should watch this movie and why, I wonder what’s the difference between an elderly couple
and a middle age couple, Nothing, I think there're trying to live their lives as best they can, hopefully with pride,
but when both of them are hit with a devastating illness of any kind, don’t you think is hard, how you handle that
pride is the key, it could be a stroke, or a heart attack, really, does that not happen, you bet your ass it does,
just like the Daughter in this movie, who would rather stick her parents in a old-age home, and be done with it,
doesn’t really realize that pride in her own parents, how this man would take care of his wife under any circumstances,
the reality of this movie should not be about what you see, but only how you can coupe with life's changes,
here’s a couple who’ve lived a happy life I’m sure, but was not shown any of that, in the movie, which I think would’ve
make no sense at all, because that’s not what the movie was trying to convey, to it’s audience, your life could change
in an instant, whether the lost of anything that could disrupt your life, some of the reviews think this is depressing,
I think it stupid to say that, just look at the love and dedication this man has, how he endure that pain seeing his wife,
succumb to that tragedy of no return, could you handle it, that’s the question, “Amour” means (Love) “Michael Haneke”

I Absolutely Love This Movie....
Thanks so much
I recommend this movie to all health care professionals whether in a hospital, hospice, nursing home. I also think that it could be part of a required movie in high school or college curriculum to sensitize the young people. Director/writer Micheal Hanake provides lengthy and detailed scene in order to fully present the scope of this elderly couple and the challenges they are faced with.
I gave a FIVE STAR because this movie authenticate what some elderly have to live with.

Some of our French group loved this film. One person thought it too realistic and didn't want to be faced with it. I thought it was marvelous and true to life. Very well done. Read morePublished 24 months ago by regina emery
The film was long and not what I was expected. The story was good and the acting but a little bit more script will have been goodPublished on Nov. 27 2013 by lyne chevalier
