Product Description

Amy is on a high. She has conquered the UK pop market and her arch rival Courtney Schaeffer has faded into the shadows. Amy loves her fans, she wants to reach out to them, be friends with them. But she can no longer just pop out to the corner shop whenever she likes and Solar Records keeps a tight rein on how much of herself she can give to the public. Even her mum and dad treat her differently nowadays. But Amy's best friend Beccs keeps her rooted in the world that she's left behind - school, hanging out with friends - while she lives a life of rehearsals and touring. With Beccs on the other end of a mobile phone, Amy can do anything, and she does. Paris, New York - Amy Peppercorn sings her heart out for them. And the gorgeous French pop star Adam Bede seems to be offering her his ...Meanwhile, Ben has been released from remand and is working at Solar Records, stirring up trouble for Amy. When twisted details of Amy's personal life start circulating in the press, Amy starts wondering who her friends really are.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantl realistic, Mar 22 2007
By Family "Ian H" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Amy Peppercorn (Paperback)
This is such a realistic book. It isn't just about an ordinary girl who lands the popstar's job, Amy Peppercorn is a fiery, emotional, totally believable character. John Brindley writes very convincingly, he describes the ups and downs of fame, the family problems, and the feeling of betrayal which is really only emphasised in this third book. I first read it when I was nine or so and I didn't understand it, but now I'm 13 I find it so true!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Ok, nothing special., Nov 11 2004
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Amy Peppercorn : Starry-Eyed and Screaming (Paperback)
Amy Peppercorn is about a normal girl who suddenly becomes a pop star. The story is simple, easy to read. However, it isn't memorable- at all. Recommend to borrow from your local library-save your money.
