as good as I'd hoped May 5 2007
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I found this at a library resale shop and didn't know what to expect. I love Katie Fforde and Marian Keyes. V. Henry had a touch of both I thought. The characters were very likable and well developed. A great weekend read.

Excellent fun! April 28 2008
By Trenterelli - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This was my first Veronica Henry, but not my last. I thought this book was smart and fun! I loved the way the story was told by different character's points of view. Much more than chick lit. I will definitely search out her other books. Highly recommended!
What a fun read! May 15 2014

Format: Kindle Edition
As always with Veronica Henry, this is a real page turner. One really cares what happens to the well-written characters.
new author for me April 5 2009
By Mi8tcuc - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This was a new author for me but the book caught my attention because I like authors like Harriet Evans. This book didn't disappoint. I love books with quirky and interesting supporting characters. My only drawback was that the ending seemed a bit rushed. I would have liked a little bit more than the epilogue. Perhaps there could be another Cotswald book where we could catch up with Guy, Honor, Henty, etc. I will definitely look for more books by Ms. Henry.

Very enjoyable March 7 2006
By Lili_K - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is second book I've read by Veronica Henry and it did not disappoint. It was an entertaining, easy-to-read-when-you-want-to-relax-book with likeable and not-so-likeable characters you can root for or against to your heart's content. What makes the book so enjoyable is that plot and characters are credible without being boring. The end of course is also very satisfactory with a little bit of "surprise" thrown in.
