5.0 out of 5 stars enthralling high adventure, Nov 2 2011
By Mr D Taylor - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Ancient Dreams: The Wells of Ythan (Paperback)
This book is the first in a 4-part series. It is unimaginably good! Star quality. Should have won awards galore. This series was an accidental find for me. If you like high adventure, this is it. Think of Lord of the Rings, or the Dungeons and Dragons tv series, and this is of the same type. The style and pace is reminiscent of fantasy role-playing games. The party of adventurers plough through wild lands, with very little clues and hopelessly difficult obstacles. The legend just seems to grow and grow. The author has written books across many genres. I can't recommend this book, and the sequels, highly enough. It really is that good. Read it slowly and reflect. You won't easily forget it. It's recommended to both young adults and older. I plan to read them again some day!
