Review

"This book provides a comprehensive review of current anaesthetic practice. It is well illustrated with uncluttered diagrams and tables together with useful key points highlighted at the end of each chapter. The format in size, layout, and content is aimed at the examination candidate, but the reality is, it is a book for all."- British Journal of Anaesthesia

Great book! Aug. 18 2012
By LMR - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I am a third year med student. I found this book to be extremely useful during my anesthesia rotation. It is concise and easy to read. I did read a recommended text but this book was so much more succinct and better prepared me for questions the docs asked and discussions we had. Highly recommend.

Pimping quesitons April 20 2011
By JDA - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book is full of answers to those questions that your preceptors love to pimp you on. The information is short and concise. It is a great pocket resource to fit in your bag at clinical. I am a CRNA student, and this has been well worth the money.

Anesthesia Secrets Nov. 14 2011

This is a great book. It is very useful and is a basically condensed version of other much more wordy anesthesia texts.

Not for med students July 5 2014
By Kyle L Cyr - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Not the greatest resource for medical students. I'm sure this would be much more valuable for residents prepping for boards. It's question and (detailed) answer format, with a few images, diagrams, and tables. For medical students, I'd suggest Pocket Anesthesia to carry around/get a quick reference to something and either Baby Miller or Morgan and Mikhail for better explanations and to read/study.

Best kept secrets Oct. 20 2010
By fillsigh - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is one of the best anesthesia references to have, if you're an anesthesiology resident. I used this text as my main study source, and was able to get passing score equivalents on the ITE all throughout training, and also passed written boards predominantly using this text. Gives a great overview about all tested anesthesia subjects. It's also portable enough to carry into the OR. I owe passing written boards to Secrets.
