The mother from Hell.,

Combine the The Baker Boys with No Country for Old Men stir it with an Australian twang and you have one intriguing film with two outstanding performances and solid acting from the rest of the ensemble. No happy endings here so be surprised right to the end. For my mind the newcomer James frecheville has to take top honours for a rivetting performance played to the hilt as a natural stoneface,(shades of Javier Bardem), along with Jacki Weaver as his awesome mother who in the latter half of the film shows an awfully sharp pair of teeth. Michod has to be a director to watch for.
