Product Description

Working on-the-go? Retain high-speed access to all of your devices, without overloading your bag. The Anker® USB 3.0 2-Port Hub with Built-in 3.3-foot Cord forms the basis of any mobile workstation.

Instant expansion.

With no drivers required, this device gives you access to immediate, blistering-fast speeds. Just plug in, and you're ready to go. 2 USB 3.0 SuperSpeed ports supply you with transfer rates of up to 5Gbps. Here at Anker®, we value your time.

Eye-catching design.
We've squeezed USB 3.0 technology into this lightweight, compact shell. The hub has a built-in 3.3-foot tail to ensure that your workspace remains neat. When you're out, slip it into your pocket, stow it in your bag, or carry it in the palm of your hand.

Full functionality.
This thing may be small, but it's still a fully-functional hub. Enjoy supported functions such as: hot swapping, plug and play, and full backward compatibility with USB 2.0 / 1.1. What's more, there's even a surge protector incorporated to safeguard your gadgetry.

System requirements:
Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8, Mac OS 9.1 and above.
• Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 users should upgrade to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 or later to avoid unstable connections.

Usage notes:
• To ensure a stable connection, don't use this hub with high power consumption devices (those exceeding a combined current of 0.9 Amps among all ports) such as some large-capacity hard drives.
• This hub is not meant to serve as a stand-alone charger. It can not charge iPads or any other devices with irregular charging requirements.
• Some USB 3.0 devices require direct connection to host ports.
• 2.4Ghz wireless devices (keyboards, mice, etc.) may not work around USB 3.0 ports. Try using a USB 2.0 connection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wild! Beyond expectations May 16 2013
Size Name:7-Port|Verified Purchase
I am a movie hoarder. I have 6 multi terabyte hard driver that I manipulate plus few WD TV Live units on 100 GB lines. All drives must be defragmented from time to time. This is where the hub really shines! The optimization on USB 2 was a seemingly long process.

I invested in a USB 3 card and things got immensely better. Then, Along came the Anker Hub and I was in a new world of convenience. Deframentation is done it times very close to being on my machine. As well, movie transfers between hard drives is a major workout for any system and now; I'm in tranfer heaven.

Thanks so very much to the Anker people for their innovative approach and a totally excellent final product. I recommend to all!

It seems like right now, USB data port devices are among the most commonly used types of devices available. I literally have dozens of such products in our home because I am a geek and we use a lot of digital electronics. It even seems that all the new things we have purchased like our Kindle Fire and iPads also use USB ports.

Most new computers feature a ton of USB ports as motherboard manufacturers are starting to realize that users need them on so many devices. Unfortunately trying to get to the back of your computer and plug in a USB cable in a poorly lighted area can be a problem. This product helps to eliminate that as you can put 7 USB super speed ports on top of your desk in easy reach so you can plug in your peripheral devices quickly.

The unit is packaged nicely and it is in a high gloss black plastic molded case. Each port has a blue LED so you can see that when the port is in use the blue LED is lit. The unit comes with a USB 3.0 connection cable that is 1 meter long (39.37 inches) and a power pack AC adapter. The adapter is rated at 12V output at 2 Amps DC. I plugged it into my computer and powered it on and it was set up by my Windows 7 Professional Operating System.

It is possible to power other devices using this hub, but you must have it attached to a computer USB port. I plugged in an iPad 3 which is a power hog, a Kindle Fire as well as two other devices and the unit was charging my tablets and the other devices were performing properly. The unit was plugged into a USB 3.0 port on my computer which uses military grade components and it worked fine.

The main advantage of USB 3.0 is the data transmission speed that is possible. USB 3.0 can transfer data at 5 Gbit/s (Super-Speed) versus, USB 2.0 (Hi-Speed) at 480 Mbps and USB 1.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid, but order of plugging in matters Jan. 18 2014
Size Name:9-Port + 1 Charging Port (5V 2.1A)|Verified Purchase
Two main notes:
1) The power brick is large, noticably larger than the USB hub itself (it is 60 watts)
2) The order you plug things in matters. I had to put my hard drive in the "1" port, or it would prevent my wireless mouse and keyboard from working reliably.

All-in-all a good device, glad I bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A USB 3 hub that actually works! Jan. 18 2014
Size Name:9-Port + 1 Charging Port (5V 2.1A)|Verified Purchase
I've been really disappointed with the hubs I've picked up over the last couple of years. Without fail, most keep devices connected for short periods of time, or won't let them connect at all.

The Anker 9-port hub has worked brilliantly. I've no idea what the actual speeds are (with any kind of testing), but transfer rates with multiple devices connected are still very high.

It's built well...looks great on my desk...but more importantly, I don't even notice it. It does the job it's supposed to do and does it well.

Thanks for building something that actually works and didn't require a mortgage to purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great! Jan. 22 2014

Size Name:9-Port + 1 Charging Port (5V 2.1A)|Verified Purchase
Wanted a way to have my ipod, my usb for music, and my usb for videos all hooked up at once, along with my mouse. Mouse is still in it's port on the computer, nice and out of the way, and the hub is tucked off to the side - lighter than I expected, so still working out how to make sure I don't manage to damage it.

But everything was plugged in all at once so I could sync the ipod without needing to unplug the mouse. XD Also listening to music off the stick at the same time on the computer, and no issues whatsoever. Looking to get a Kindle soon, so very glad this seems to have solved my usb port woes. XD

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job it's supposed to do Jan. 22 2014
Size Name:7-Port - New|Verified Purchase
Was looking for an affordable 3.0 HUB and this one caught my attention. The price was good and it had the number of ports I needed. The form factor is great if you want to keep it on top of your desk but it was not something I paid attention to since I was planning on sticking it underneath my workstation. I've had no trouble with it so far. Transfer speeds are as they should be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Anker® Uspeed USB 3.0 7-Port Hub Jan. 18 2014
Size Name:7-Port + 2 Charging Ports|Verified Purchase
I don't usually get excited about HW products, especially Hubs as they're all the same. But you notice as soon as you open the package that this one is unique. Beautiful design, really heavy pwr supply for a hub, and all the cables are really well built. And once powered, works as expected with real nice lights.

This is an eleven.
