This is a great little gadget that will charge your cellphone to 100%.

Let's go straight to the test results:

Charge speed test using:

ipad mini:
Started charging at 75% remaining, after 5 minutes it reached 77%. And after 30 minutes it reached 86%.
After 1 hour and 20 minutes, it reached 100%.
Estimated time to charge ipad mini from 0% to 100% - 5 hours 20 minutes

iphone 6:
17% to 100% took 2 hours and 23 minutes.
Estimated time to charge iphone 6 from 0% to 100% - about 3 hours

Capacity test:
iphone 6 - charged iphone 6 from 17% to 100%, still has juice left. So I used my iphone down to 43% and this battery charged my iphone back to 75%. Very impressive considering its size.
Total estimated iphone 6 charge - 115% or 1.15 times.

The battery itself is very light, measures approximately 4 inches tall and 1 inch wide. Perfect size for even the tightest pocket.

Comparing to the earlier version of this battery, the power button is now moved to the cylinder wall and designed to blend in.
You can see it from uploaded picture - the button is located on the right side of the Anker icon. It is very comfortable to press.

Overall very satisfied. My girlfriend is already fighting me for it... I know I will lose it soon.

Good: 3200 mAh Battery, Multi-Colored LED Power Level Indicator, Tactile Power Button, Included USB Charging Cable & Carrying Case, 18 Month Warranty
Bad: N/A
"Whatever": Power Level LED is a tad bit misleading.

Pictures tell a thousand words. Check out my photos!

Anker sent me the PowerCore Mini Portable Phone Charger for an unbiased review.

First off, this portable phone charger can charge other devices as long as it accepts a USB connector. Furthermore, this portable charger is extremely small and comparable to a lip-stick in size. Despite the small size, it packs a 3200 mAh battery that is capable of charging your iPhone 6/6s about 1.7 times or 1 time for the iPhone 6 Plus/6s plus. With my iPhone 6s and the Anker PowerCore Mini, I made it through 2 1/2 days with moderate use and it was definitely a pleasure to carry around.

The PowerCore Mini has a LED to indicate the power level and I found it to be a tad bit hard to gauge how much battery is left due to the large battery range LED indicator. The battery LED indicates the following:

50%-100% = Green
20%-50% = Yellow
0%-20% = Red

Overall, this is a very solid product and is definitely useful for the road warriors or the weekend vacation trip! Great job Anker!

Excellent product! We have a store and wanted to try one of those to compare to others we sell, nothing of them compares. Build quality along with true capacity beats other models at the same price level. Customer service is also very attentive and will reach out to you before you get a chance to contact them with any concerns, just to make sure that you are completely satisfied.

You think you don’t need a portable battery pack? Think again. Think back to that time when you were out shopping and your phone died. Think about that road trip where the car chargers were out of reach and painfully slow. Now think about if you had a small battery pack like the PowerCore Mini. Different story!

The Anker PowerCore Mini is one of the smallest Anker PowerCore products. It has a battery capacity of 3200mAh, enough to fully charge most phones at least once. The product measures at just under 4 inches in length while having a diameter of .9 inches. The exterior of the product itself is low-key, not yelling for you but being there when you need it. The USB port, Micro USB charger and LED light are all on one end, and the check power level button is on the side.

Now down to the actual performance of the PowerCore Mini. In the week I’ve been using it, I was quite surprised with its performance. It charges my Android phone at the same speed as it would from a wall charger! In my tests (using the app Ampere, I got about a 210 mA to 270 mA charging rate, which is perfectly fine. However, the same does not apply for a USB-C equipped phone. My Nexus 6P charges around 760 mA with the PowerCore Mini, but it isn’t nearly enough for the Nexus 6P. It will work, but it is very slow. For example, the Anker PowerCore 15600 will charge my Nexus 6P at 1550 mA, which is very good for Type-A to Type-C, but still quite slower than Type-C to Type-C charging (2640-3000 mA). So the bottom line is this: If you have a Micro USB equipped Android phone or iPhone, this will work just fine! If you have a USB-C phone, this will work, but it won’t work nearly as good as some other Anker portable chargers. Go with a bigger one if this is your case.

So, would I buy this product again?

I have used several external batteries from three different manufacturers to keep my iPhone 6+ and iPad Air charged while on the go. The new Anker PowerCore mini is the most convenient option given its compact size and light weight. It also offers Anker's smart IQ charge optimizing feature. A larger battery like the 2nd Generation Anker E7 can provide more device recharges and connect with multiple devices (3 simultaneously) but its much larger size tends to make it a less readily available item. The new PowerCore mini is conveniently pocket-sized. Its plastic case feels comfortable in my pocket and less likely to become dented and/or damage anything else sharing my pocket with it. I've also used the similar Anker 2nd Generation Astro mini 23350mAH. Its battery capacity matches that of the newer PowerCore mini. But the older model features an aluminium exterior while the newer PowerCore mini's plastic construction feels lighter and feels more portable. Its side-mounted activation switch is an improvement.
