I took this book with me to view the Farnese Palace in Rome - the site of some of the Carracci's greatest works, in my opinion.The detail provided about the Farnese ceilings was invaluable and made viewing the works much more enlightening.
The discussion of the brothers' very different personalities and their interactions with their patrons was eye-opening.
I'm really glad I got this book!
