It deals with practical issues of the field that can be beneficial to potential practitioners such as external consultants, researchers and theorists, practicing managers, and even employees. So this provides a great overview and direction, but should not be the only book for those interested in the field. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to get a taste of organization development.
