love this little ipod Feb. 3 2011

I'm loving this little ipod! (Would have liked it even better if it were $40-$50 cheaper.) I got it in pink - it's adorable. All the colors looked cute and I had a difficult time choosing. The touch screen is great and makes it very easy to use. The clip on the back is awesome b/c you don't need a pocket or separate strap to secure it to you. It seems like it has been a little stripped down of features - perhaps making it a touch screen sacrificed a couple of things. Or maybe Apple just wants you to upgrade to a iTouch. It doesn't have a camera but nobody ever used that on the old one anyway...most people use their phones. 8 GB is fine for me b/c although I like music , I don't have a huge collection and don't spend a lot of money buying it. (Anyway it holds 2000 songs so that is fine for me.) The only things I don't like about it are that because it is so small and has a touch screen I am always afraid to lose it or break it. Also, there is a "shake to shuffle" function that is annoying b/c if you shake the ipod inadvertently you can shuffle it without expecting to - this happened when I used it in my car when going over bumps in the road. However, not a big deal b/c you can just turn that function off. Would make a nice gift.

Terribly disappointed July 9 2011

I have owned many iPods in the past (different generations of nanos, shuffles, iPod Touches and the basic iPods). I generally use my nano in the car to listen to music. My last nano was stolen so I was grateful to receive a new one as a recent birthday present.

This nano is very difficult to use. The touch screen is really hard to use if you have fingernails. The screen is so little and it doesn't give enough room for your finger to select the small icons. And half the time even when I am able to select anything it doesn't recognize my selection.

If you want to pause the music in the middle of listening or switch to the next song that's even more difficult. You have to 'wake up' the screen to get the pause or switch buttons to show but it is really hard to get it to wake up. Then if you don't make your selection immediately the pause and switch options go away. Nothing about navigating this iPod is easy or user friendly. I'm sure the idea of giving nanos touchscreens sounded good on paper, but they shouldn't have reduced the size of a nano down to a shuffle at the same time!

This is my first apple product I am unhappy with. If I could I would return it because it's definitely not worth the almost $150! This nano is probably fine for teenagers who will navigate it smoothly after a few uses but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

I expect apple to change the design and retire this one quickly.

Maybe I just got a bad iPod Sept. 11 2011

Sorry, but this is not the reliable iPod that I was expecting. Maybe it is the design, but it skips around from song to song, sometimes, shuts off. My first one ended up with a dead screen, and Apple gave me a new one, but same (or maybe more) problems. I love the price, and the compact size. But, if it is made for motion (I use mine for around the house when cleaning and on the elliptical), then it needs to be reliable. Nice try Apple, but back to the drawing board.

Poor Quality June 9 2011

Received my Apple ipod nano 8 GB 6th Generation newest model very excited to down load my music on it. Turned it on to find out that after a few minutes the music would stop. The icons would also start shaking. I sent that one back to get a replacement. I received the replacement in about 5 days. I down loaded my music charged it over night. When I turned the nane on it was even worse. It stoped playing right away and you could not move the icons. Not a happy camper with this item...

Apple IPOD Nano 8 GB 6th generation March 19 2011

I was looking forward to getting this IPOD because I was going on a long trip and wanted to have music to travel by. First off, there should be better instructions for first time nano users such as myself. It seems to be very sensitive so trying to get to what I actually want to do on it is a bit frustrating. Second, the ear buds are very uncomfortable and sound only came from one of them. For the price, I was expecting a bit more. I'm not pleased with this purchase, but giving that I'm new at IPOD using I am keeping it to give it the benefit of the doubt, but I am displeased that the ear buds aren't working.
