4.0 out of 5 stars Good Introduction April 30 2013
By JGZ1965
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a really good introduction into Aperture and all that it does.

I bought it to learn what it can do and it accomplishes this easily.

Drawbacks are that I felt I needed to go chapter by chapter to understand what it can do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Un livre et un cours - A book and a course July 19 2012

I needed a book on Aperture. This is an excellent apps but all its capabilities make it difficult to control if you are not familiar with the objectives of each function and the order of use. Good tricks are also fine to have. I found it all in this book, sequential use of functions, well explained and presented in a logical order of use. It was perfect. I was especially pleased with the book when I discovered that it was a course with a CD that had photos that I could practiced with. I just follow the lessons and Aperture became the software that I have always wanted. I recommend it to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars great book Nov 14 2010
Format:Paperback
I've been using Aperture for a couple of months now, but was frustrated trying to work out some of the features on my own so decided to invest in this book. Well worth the money. Am only into the second chapter and have already discovered lots of things I didn't know and have learned to use many of the keyboard shortcuts that really speed up my work. My importing process has already become more efficient through learning more about customizing presets and better ways of working with and assigning keywords. Can only assume the photo-editing sections will be just as informative.
