Helpful in a pinch for voice, not music Oct. 30 2011

I've been using this since the summer and I've found it helpful to listen to podcasts in my car (which lacks a headphone port) and I find it does the trick. Even though my Honda Civic is noisy and the road noise can be a problem sometimes, for city traffic the device does the trick. A completely different story for highway traffic though... although you can hear the podcasts, the highest volume is not enough to understand them fully. Of course, if you have a car that blocks the traffic/road noise outside, this should work for you in city and highways.
Music is a different story... it's distorted to the point of being disagreeable and I can't listen to more than one song with this. I have tried different devices and I have yet to find the right FM transmitter that doesn't drive me crazy with the constant hiss... I'll keep looking.

I bought this because I thought it would work with my iPhone 5, but it does not. I have used them before with previous generations of iPhones, and they are really cool and work great! Just not for the 5.

For what I paid for this, the 4 weeks it took to arrive was worth it and addressed a teenagers non-stop iPhone music listening habit.

Great little device for the money Aug. 1 2011

I bought this on a lark, since it was discounted. The product I received appeared to have been swept up off the warehouse floor, as there was a lot of dirt and dust on the outside, and the product itself was a tad smeared. However, soap and water fixed that right up.

Next on my list of "meh?" was that it retained that fresh plastic smell that these things seem to exude for a while, but even that dissipated with a bit of being not in a package.

On to the product itself: It is flexible. I didn't expect that, it looked like a hard item online. Perhaps I missed something somewhere, idk. However, excessive handling will cause it to tear (it's flexible plastic fer crying out loud). It comes in two pieces (preassembled, but if you want to take it apart) but needs to have both pieces to be of any use.

Otherwise, it works great, amplifies the sound nicely, doesn't interfere with either the screen, button or the mic hole. It even has a nice slot for the charger cord to go through without impacting the ability to stand upright or have the cord do what it's supposed to do.

I didn't try this with any other vendors charger cords, so idk about that.

I liked it. I'ld buy another, if they weren't going for full retail.
