Number 2 in the 'mancer series.Aquamancer intro- duces new characters, along with the our original friends. Callander does an excellent job with his characters and handles his plots with humor and fun. You will find yourself searching for all the books in this series. Easy reading and relaxing!

This is a great book, i have read all the mancer books and they are fantasticly great. If you love fantasy you will love all of Don Callander's books. This one is by far the best mancer book i have read(except geomancer, because i have not read it yet. It is out of print). I hope you enjoy this book and all the others by Don Callander.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed....with title perhaps, Sep 2 2009
By CronanBor "cronanbor" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Aquamancer (Mass Market Paperback)
I enjoyed Pyromancer and I did enjoy this title Aquamancer. What I find dissapointing about these two is there seems to be no significance to a Pyromancer or Aquamancer. In other words, the main Pyromancer of the first book does just about every thing from creating a tent out of a handkerchief, to breathing underwater. What that has to do with Pyromancy, I don't know.

This title, Aquamancer continues with the adventures of the Pyromancer. He barely encounters an Aquamancer until later in the book. Why call it Aquamancer if the main story revolves around the Pyromancer? The Aquamancer mostly flies throughout the book...which seems to be more appropriate for an Aeromancer, no? In my opinion, they were fun reads. But I would have preferred the titles to be less specific, e.g. "Adventures of a Young Wizard." Because, I was expecting the Pyromancer to throw fire-balls and the Aquamancer to walk on water, or something to that effect, yet neither emphasized their chosen magical professions. They are both stories about generic wizards, in my opinion.
