I am sure a lot of people are wondering how to purchase this DVD set. This should also clear up the question posted by the first reviewer...

Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Season 1 is only available in Canada. United States residents will have to import this from Canada. In other words, it has to be ordered from Amazon.ca and not Amazon.com. Direct Source is the company responsible for publishing this DVD set, but they only have the rights to distribute it in Canada. Also, this set will never be sold in U.S. retail stores. If you want to purchase this, then plan on ordering it here. Ordering from Amazon.ca is a piece of cake.

I had been waiting so long for this to come out! While there are really no added features, having just the episodes is fine by me! Each episode brought me back to my childhood, where my sister and best friend would each eagerly sit in front of my television watching the entire SNICK block and being so excited for AYAOTD to come on. Each episode is unpredictable and very creative. It was easily my favorite show as a child because it was unlike any other. There has never been or ever will be another show for children (and even us adult children) that is this exceptional. Definitely a one of a kind show that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I was so excited when I found out that they were releasing this show at long last and was even more excited when I got it for Christmas. The only problem I had that I have not seen anybody else discuss is that they did not keep the original intro in tact. It broke my heart to see it changed. Thankfully season two they kept it the way it was meant to be. I also agree with some of the above reviewers about the case. It was strange in the way it was packaged. They cleared that up on the second season as well though. This was really the guinea pig for the rests of the season sets so enjoy it for what it is. That is enjoy the tales of the midnight society.
