Product Description

For a man of Chance Broderick's charm and wealth, Boston offers plenty of tempting distractions. But when he receives word that his brother is in danger in Arizona Territory, Chance dutifully travels west. There he finds a wild, lawless land full of surprises. The biggest shock is discovering that the tracker he's hired is not the brash boy he assumed, but a beautiful, thoroughly independent young woman. Raised by her grandfather after the death of her white father and Pima mother, Rori has learned to fend for herself. Nothing would satisfy her more than showing the arrogant Broderick a thing or two. Nothing - except the searing pleasure of his touch. For Rori can't help craving Chance as fiercely as he desires her, despite the worlds of difference that threaten to divide them...

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, Aug 29 2011
By Kathy P. Lafayette "Classy Lady" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Arizona Caress (Mass Market Paperback)
Usually I enjoy Bobbi Smith's Books, but this one was a slow read for me. Though Rori is dressed up like a boy in buckskins, Chance Broderick can look into her face and forest green eyes and can't see that she is a girl. Then when he finally discovers it, he can't keep his hands off of her. He takes her innocence then realizes how wrong it was and that it can't happen again. Well, it does happen again. I had a difficult time with Chances' character, and his inability to make up his mind about Rori. And, where was Grampa that he didn't know what was going on between Rori and Chance. I became frustrated and a little bored with this story. I do realize that others who read this book may not have the same opinion as mine. Looking forward to more of Bobbi Smith in the future.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed, Sep 29 2011

I have always liked Bobbi Smiths writing, she ususally has strong herione characters that can stand up to a man and not be affraid to say NO. Her Pirate books have been a big disappointment in the character department and now this one. Both brothers in this book were just the worst in the hero area. There is nothing more aggravating than big egos and the "it's all about my needs, not yours" attitude. Each time one of the brothers bedded down with their innocent woman they had the silent talk to themselves that this was just temporary and they would leave them behind when they go back home. They were always telling the women that "they" can't wait to get back home, and never mention taking them with them and the stupid women keep allowing themselves to be with them while saying silently to themselves, "I know it's only for a while until he goes back home and leaves me", but they stay anyway. Hello! What happened to the strong women that would have punched them in the nose and said, "bug off"? That is why I always enjoyed Smith's stories, because I could always count on the strong woman not the one that takes mental or physical abuse from a man. This story would have been better if the women would have told the men "to go to ****" when the men decided they could'nt live without them and then found other men to become the strong partners they needed, and just chalk this up as a bad mistake. When I read the storyline, I really thought this book had the potential to be very good and sounded like it was going to have a very strong, independent woman character and a honorable hero. NOT! Big Disappointment.
