This guide covers 80 exceptional small inns and guesthouses throughout Greece. These are not the tourist hotels on the beaches, rather these are exceptional small places with owners that care about their service and offer the best there is of Greece. The photographs throughout the book make clear the style and uniqueness of each place. Not for the traveler that wants popular resorts, noisy bars and crowded beaches, this guide is ideal for those with a little more time and money and an interest in seeing Greece behind the travel posters.

You can tell that the author, Ms. Jacoline Vinke, is a real connoisseur of good taste. This is an eclectic guide of some extraordinary places in Greece, all of them vignettes of natural beauty, which the author has collected into a very special presentation indeed. Even if you never visit Greece (a cardinal sin in my humble opinion) this is a book worth having and frequently referring to or giving it as a gift of taste to a friend or loved one. It falls under the category of labor of love. Our actual experience in visiting one of the recommended places was superb.
