Frustrating , to say the least. March 23 2011
By Thomas Thompson - Published on Amazon.com
Bought from retailer a week ago and just used it today for the first time. Misfired ( no staple)
30 times in a row at worst. I used arrow t50 staples 9/16 " . I don't know, but I find this unacceptable. At best , it misfired 1 in 3 times average, not counting misfires over 5 times in a row. Seems that the feeder spring and staple clearance are an issue, since it will fire almost every time when shooting into the air. Yes, I did waste a lot of staples, but did present accurate representation of the unit I received. Will be returning this to H.D.

Very Disappointed.

Buyer Beware.

Stapler no good. Does not feed staples April 17 2011
By JMF - Published on Amazon.com
I bought this to get more power out a a stapler. I have an Arrow T50 now, and you need to really hold it down to get it to put in staples. The RED has good power and feels good but, like the other review, it does not feed. The staple load mecanism, does not feed in smoothly and feels like it is binding. I almost threw it accross the room several times due to not feeding. It needs a redesign if the feed mechanism. Do not buy it. Arrow is a big name. They should do some testing. I would love to hear their excuses.

Misfires 90% of the time... May 22 2011
By Rebekah Ebeling - Published on Amazon.com
My review is very similar to the previous 2... misfires repeatedly. It is completely useless when it only buries 1 out of every 10 staples. And I AM using genuine T-50 staples, as the company instructs. Unfortunately, it was opened (as a gift) past the return date at H.D. and I'm stuck with it now. :-(

Code R.E.D.: Misfires Arrow staples consistently June 26 2011
By John Gookin - Published on Amazon.com
This Arrow staple gun consistently misfires 1/2" Arrow staples meant for this staple gun. Save your receipt so you can exchange it for a different brand when it fails to perform right out of the box. Consider buying a staple gun that doesn't try to also drive brads so maybe it will perform one function correctly.

Hey Arrow: next time, instead of hiring a slick advertising firm to launch your R.E.D. campaign and talk you into adding new multitask functions for point-of-sales impulse buying, hire an engineer to make your product work. I carefully looked through all of the staplers I could find to buy a US product and crap like this isn't helping the cause.

Severely flawed product Oct. 1 2011
By Alex - Published on Amazon.com
I bought this staple gun together with Arrow-brand half-inch staples. The gun malfunctioned right from the start. The very first staple jammed inside the gun. I was able to clear the jam with a pair of pliers, but things didn't improve much after that. The gun mis-fired about half the time and had particular difficulty when it was used to put staples into a vertical surface (i.e., a wall). Very frustrating experience. I returned the staple gun the next day. My next staple gun will not be made by Arrow.
