4.0 out of 5 stars Beginning to understand, Mar 30 2000

This review is from: Art for Beginners (Paperback)
Even though some formulations are still somewhat abstract for the average beginner the concepts of fine art will become clearer after reading the book. It is especially useful to understand the modernist movements, with its complex theories and ideas. The inclusion of philosophies, by "name-brand" philosophers; furthermore, helps the reader to tie the concepts together.
