Product Description

From the Manufacturer

As organizations increase their reliance on Internet communications, secure devices and prudent policies can be powerful protection from malicious threats and unreliable network links. The VR2004 Series of routers provides a secure, redundant communications link between corporate networks and remote offices.

Unlike home routers, the VR2004 Series was designed for businesses that need complete control over all data entering and leaving their networks. Whether your network needs to support 2 or 2000 remote users, the VR2004 can be deployed with minimal field support. Instead of "passing through" IPSec encrypted packets to client-based applications or drivers, the VR2004 is a complete security gateway that manages all security settings for up to 253 computers in a remote site. Let the router manage passwords, authentication and communication sessions according to your custom rules. After one router is set up, save its settings into a file. You can clone this configuration onto other units by loading the settings from this file. If a remote user inadvertently changes his settings, it can be quickly restored to a previously saved setting. From a remote network operations center, debug remote installations (even debug IPSec) or track activities through remote system logs. For critical system alerts and logs, stay in touch with programmable emails. You may schedule the emails to be sent immediately or at specified times.

The VR2004 can establish a secure communications link so remote users can directly access centralized information. Instead of getting copies of data (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, databases) in the form of an email attachment or webpage, users can directly interact with the files. Information is always current and synchronized. Your organization's security is only as strong as its weakest link. With reports of malicious email and instant messaging attachments damaging corporate resources, the VR2004 is an important alternative.
