***A riveting tale of love, betrayal, and discovery. David Weaver has crafted a brilliant paranormal romance!***- Starred Review

***The ending will BLOW you away!"***
*Approx. 27,150 word novella.*

Review: I love a good paranormal romance. I read them and fall in love with the story lines constantly. After reading David's story, I fell in love with the characters. Bristol and Marvin are characters to fall in love with. To have the kind of love and trust that Marvin exhibits given to you just warms me up. David let this story flow and I can visually see the scenes in my mind, which in my opinion is the best part of reading a book. When you can see the characters and scenes as they play out... I am waiting for the next part in this series patiently..Thumbs up Mr. Weaver for a great story!

3.0 out of 5 stars Vampires- Coming To A Neighborhood Near You Nov. 4 2011

This book was iffy for me (meaning should I give 3 or 4 stars) and I say that because it hard to base a series on 12 chapters (over 100 kindle pages). A good start I think, I'm hoping the next book will really have some oomph to it and this one was just the buildup. The lead characters are in high school, definitely YA no sex and I don't even remember a curse word. I've read Bankroll Squad by Weaver (and have a couple more books of his sitting on my kindle to be read) and it was good. I do believe he will work some magic on the next one because it was starting to get good when it ended. And since the book picked up for me at the tail end, I gave it 3 stars. Not a bad start into a new genre. And things can't be too boring if some vampires stick around in Cedar Hill lol.

I do like the spin on the powers of the vampires they don't have the normal vampire weakness. It also was smidge Twilightish and a couple of things gave me Bella and Edward flashback but its original enough with the other twists. I won't go into the synopsis because what's listed is the gist of the story. Was it enough to make me read the next one? Sure, I have to know what happens to Marvin and if Marvin's Mom will go ballistic on these vampires. Also, I want to see what repercussions Bristol will face and Marvin because that little thing called loved has dragged him into a huge mess.

Okay let me start by saying I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!!! Okay usually I'm not a big fan of reading about vampires, I love to watch them in movies but not read a book about them. But thanks to David Weaver I can say different now. This book was so good and don't even get me started with the storyline it was great. I can not wait for part 2, I'm so excited!!!!! Now I'm not going to give the story away for people who may have not read it yet, so all I'm going to say is David Weaver you have done it again you are a very talented man who I believe can write about anything and turn it into a bestseller!!!! Great Work!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars A GOOD READ!! June 17 2012

In this first venture into paranormal romance, controversial author David Weaver, successfully manages to create a vampire breed unlike any other. The characters are well developed and captivating; and the interactions between them heart-warming. This refreshingly different take on the vampire theme, opens new doors to the reader's imagination, while also creating a true-to-life backdrop for the characters in which to develop. The plot forces the two point-of-view characters to not only make choices in love, but also some moral choices in their day-to-day lives. The surprise ending of the book will leave you begging for more.
"The Aslaric Vampire" is an overall worthwhile read!
