Well made. From the picture it looks like it might be stamped metal, but its actually cast and very sturdy. The colour is consistent. Just be careful with the install--the screws (slot) are painted and can chip easily. Because of the unusual shape of the numbers, lay out their placement on graph paper first and then transfer the location of screw holes to your wall.

They do the job Nov. 28 2010
By Kiwi Liv - Published on Amazon.com

Purchased numbers: 5, 1, 3

Pro's:
- Nice bold color which contrasts well with the house
- Numbers are larger in size than most
- Modern
- Sturdy construction

Con's:
- Alignment: it is difficult depending on what numbers you need, to make them line up and look straight eg. the bottom of the 3 doesn't line up with the top (an issue for someone who likes everything perfectly straight and in line)

Summary:
I would still buy again. For the price (house numbers can get really expensive for modern looking, bold house numbers!), they do the job and look ok.

Numbers are great, screws are terrible. Oct. 10 2014
By Panther3535 - Published on Amazon.com

The numbers are great, very nicely made. However, the screws are not good. I hung 4 numbers, so I had 8 screws to drive; of those, 4 snapped in half as I was screwing them in. They break right where the threads meet the shank. VERY frustrating when you have drilled precise holes for correct spacing and you have to move your number over to avoid the broken-off screws. Also, it's a bit odd that they are using square-headed screws when virtually all screws these days have gone to Phillips... very easy to slip out of square headed screws and damage your nice new numbers. I had to go to the hardware store, buy full-threaded shank screws (the half threaded shank is a bad idea in this case, very possibly why they broke off), and then figure out a way to color the heads properly to match my numbers.

Good product; not so good hardware Jan. 7 2014

The screws to attach are too soft. I drilled a pilot hole and then when using the screw to attach the number, I found the screw stripping immediately and the paint coming off. I will have to touch up the paint so it won't show silver with the black number.

Very nice Mission style house numbers Nov. 25 2014

Oh, so cute! I'm so glad I chose these numbers for my house. They look very nice, and add some style. They are big enough to be seen from a fair distance, and they are unique looking, and add just the right touch. I'm happy with this purchase.
Nice big numbers and aesthetically pleasing. Oct. 10 2013

These Mission-style house numbers are large, well made, easy to read, easy to install, and attractive. I was delighted to find house numbers in this font. These house numbers are look great with our new Mission-style doorbell button.

It seems that all the hardware stores in our city carry one ugly style; and it is ugly. I am so thankful that Amazon has such a diverse selection, and that we found exactly what we wanted.
