everything from routine medical maladies to life-threatening designer viruses.

Game Storyline
Sure, we've all imagined what it would be like to become a doctor. Years of medical school, residency, and clinic duty eventually pay off in a rewarding position saving people's lives. Or, you could skip all that and just put in a few hours after dinner. Trauma Center puts you in the position of having to make life or death choices at the operating table.

Heart surgery and tumor removal might look easy from the morphine end, but how do you think the doctor feels? Well, you're going to find out! In Trauma Center, patients' lives are in your hands. You'll experience all the drama we've come to expect from the medical field. So go ahead, toss on some scrubs and step into the O.R.--it's time to play doctor.

Gameplay
Trauma Center: Second Opinion, is a robust "Wii-make" of the game "Under the Knife," and features a totally revamped medical toolkit that includes scalpels, forceps, defibrillator paddles, syringes, and more--all designed specifically for use with the Wii Remote.

Other game features include new graphics and animation, new and remixed musical themes, new surgical implements (including a defibrillator), and operation types, a second playable character with all-new missions, multiple difficulty modes for gamers of all skill levels, and a revised control system that takes full advantage of the revolutionary Wii Remote.

5.0 out of 5 stars Trauma Center: Second Review, May 24 2008

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Trauma Center: Second Opinion (Video Game)
If there were any quality launch titles for the Wii, they were Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and this game, Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Which is why I was a bit surprised when I discovered the 1-star rating it had here on Amazon.ca. The Wii wasn't built for mind-blowing graphics, but to offer new control options to create new, more interesting styles of games. And I feel that the people at Atlus understood that more than anyone when they created this game. It's a tremendous amount of fun and the Wii controls work beautifully. It may have a soapy storyline and the operations may not represent reality too well, but it is what it is: A fun, challenging and unique title that should stand proudly with many of the Wii's other AAA titles.

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Trauma Center: Second Opinion (Video Game)
I have played all of the games in the series so far, and this game is an excellent Wii remake to the first NDS game (though it sadly lacks the CO-OP mode).
The artists give a new feel to the game and while the art in Under the Knife was good, I greatly prefer the new character design which makes it feel more like "one of the gang". A wonderful title, you won't get bored even if you've played the NDS title. The addition of a new character (Dr. Weaver/Kimishima) adds to the storyline and makes it all even more worth it!

3.0 out of 5 stars not the best, Jan 6 2010
Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Trauma Center: Second Opinion (Video Game)
C'est pas le meilleur de la série, avoir su, je ne l'aurais pas acheté. Il y a trop de "virus", genre de petites "bibittes" à tuer, c'est trop loin de la réalité.

It's not the best of the serie and if I could go back in time, I surrely don't buy it.
There's too much of "virus", kind of little "bugs" that we have to kill, it's too far from the realty.
